I was thinking this evening about tan. We are all shades of tan from light to dark. I am so very tired of the differentiating between race, ethnicity, big, little, where and how we live, all of that.
If I were important and noticed I would get rid of the labels: black, white, red, yellow. Everyone would be tan. We cannot remove the anger and hate except through God's grace and so many reject even the possibility, yet we can do a lot better than we do.
In God's Kingdom we are not any particular color but instead filled with the light. On earth we reflect the light and I have decided that we reflect the colors of the rainbow, God's covenant and promise to the world. It is quite satisfying all the way around to think about this.
