Working Minnesota moms are often the primary breadwinners in families, but the pay gap between men and women forces many families to live at or below poverty. Thousands of families will be pulled out of poverty if we just pay hard working women the wages they earn.
My response:
Something is wrong here. How will raising the minimum wage solve the issue of equality in the work place? They are two different issues. 1. Minimum wage is one issue. 2. Equal pay for men and women doing the the same job is one issue. All people, both men and women who work at minimum wage jobs earn the same wage, which is the minimum. Mr. Ellison, you couldn't have possibly thought this through with any kind of logic at all.
